RoundUP #2
This is our second RoundUp newsletter!
Let’s kick off with the results of our latest poll: What are you most excited about as we head into 2022?
We received just over 150 responses. This is how you voted:
- Finding a new job 19%
- Promotion / more responsibility at work 21%
- More work / life alignment 39%
- Professional / personal development 22%
While a new job, more responsibility, and pers/prof development are all quite close, with a 19, 21, and 22 percentage of the vote respectively, the clear front runner is more work-life alignment.
Did some of us work too much during the last two Covid-infused years, with too few boundaries? Are we looking for more control over how we spend our time? Perhaps we have been looking this super virus in the ‘eye’ and have come to better appreciate that life is finite and time is one of the most precious resources we have.
We found this article 10 reasons why work-life balance is important super useful in terms of tracing out the reasons for a better balance of work and life. It’s full of tips and tools. And if you can’t establish the right balance where you are, The Muse has an excellent series of articles on career change that you can find here.
(Of course, you can always give us a call if you are a recruiter looking to make a move – we have a beautiful list of vacancies in the UK and other exciting locations such as New York.)
